image map won't work in MAC and Safari

for some reason, when I load the scroller html document in, an image map I created in it doesn't work in Safari and Opera - but it's fine in MS IE . . .

As you can see, in Safari and Opera, the embedded image map works if you go directly to the scroller.htm page - but when you go the the main page, it doesn't work . . . very frustrating!
